Brief Description:    Getting set up to build the engine
Spent the first couple of hours today futzing with the canopy and I think it's slowly getting better, I think in the end (once I get all the bugs worked out) it’s going to be ok.

This afternoon I spent 2-3 hours getting all the parts for the Aerovee ready, with the location for each part clearly labeled so I can find them. Then I went page-by-page through the assembly manual to see all the 'extra' stuff I have to buy - like Permatex and Loctite, stuff like that. Tomorrow, I'll make a trip to town and pick up all the stuff I need.

I think I'll have to borrow a big enough torque wrench. In one spot, something needs 227 foot pounds of torque. That's a little above the 80 foot pounds of my torque wrench.

Image one shows my work bench in my garage half taken up with the parts for the AeroVee. The block isn't shown because I was working on the block when the picture was taken.
