Brakes and polishing |
|
|
Started the day today polishing the right side of the fuselage. Completed another full pass using the F9 Nuvite polish - still a long ways to go. After I got sick of polishing, I corrected an issue I had with the brakes: the left brake was rubbing a little so the wheel didn't rotate freely. What I found was that the brake hub wasn't much out of round, instead, on the top, where the brakes pads come together, the brake pads were slightly high, so I filed the brake pads down at that point just a little and now the wheel spins freely- much better. When I brakes were done, I started working on the panel and glare shield. The assembly was pretty straight forward and went together ok. I have temporarily installed the panel and glare shield so I can see where/how I want to install the throttle quadrant and Trim wheel. |
