Polished the left wing (top side) |

Today was spent attempting to make a ‘wing rack’ so I can take to wings to the airport in the back of my wife’s F150. I had made a rack for the wings that I used to store them, but this stored the wings straight up and down and am not sure I want to attempt to transport the wing to the airport standing up like this. Knowing my luck I’ll take a turn too fast and the rack will tip over, crushing the wings. So I’m thinking about making a rack that keeps the wings horizontal. Of course the wings are too wide to fit between the wheel wells of the truck so they’ll have to stick up a foot or so above the bed. Before I started working on the new rack I spent a few hours polishing the left wing. Things were going along well until the polisher wheel I fiber glassed yesterday broke again. I didn’t figure it would last long. |
