Brief Description:	Shimmed the canopy
Tonight I ‘shimmed’ the canopy so that it was as flush as possible with the turtle deck and was very pleased with the result. When I compare how flush my canopy is to all the Sonexs I saw at air venture, it’s pretty damn good. I also placed an order with Aircraft Spruce for an ELT. I had been waiting until the 406 MHZ version from ACK Avionics was available, but decided to save $400 and install the 121 MHz version *which is available now) instead. I’m sure I can upgrade to the 406 MHz version in the future if I so desire. Today I also contacted my local DAR and received an email which explains all the forms I need to submit.
