Today I installed both the fairings for the landing gear legs – see images 1 and 2. I used a method I saw in another build log where the hinge pin for the gear leg fairing is cut in two and is installed from the middle of the fairing up and down - makes installing the hinge pins (and the entire fairing) much easier. I also installed an 1/8” bracket, bent to contour to the angle of the gear legs and the fuse bottom to secure the fairings to the fuselage. The bracket is riveted to the fairing and is screwed to the fuselage using nut plates (what else?). I plan to install a rubber gasket around the bottom of the fairing to better protect the wheel pants.
