Finished rigging the wings |
|
|
Today I finished rigging the wings. I had to position the fuselage crossways in my garage so I could get it level in both directions, see Image 1. Image 2 shows how I was able to get the wing tips level (after the fuselage was level. I used a 25 foot piece of clear plastic hose and attached one end to each end of the wing and filled it with water. To make sure the wings are level, I measured the distance from the water line to the wing tips and made sure there were equal. When doing this, make sure there are no air bubbles in the hose, or it won't be accurate - it needs to be solid water. Taking the wings on and off is a real pain and I don’t think I'll be taking them off very often. I am glad, however, that they can be removed. |
