Victory Stripes |

Tried the 'Metal Ready' etchant I used before and this seemed to work better. When I apply this stuff and then wipe it off, the surface seems kinda sticky. Tried this and the primer on a piece of scrap and it seemed to stick much better, I couldn't scrape it off with my thumb nail anymore. So today I primed, sanded and painted the white for the victory stripes. Just have to mask and paint the black stripes - and then some clear. I thought I better wait a few days to let the white paint really cure before I mask for the black stripes. Would hate to pull the white paint off with the masking tape. While waiting for the primer and paint to dry I fitted the fiberglass wing tips. The right wing tip fit great, the left wing tip not so much. I'll have to heat this one so it fits better. |
