Air Connection and more riveting practice |
|
|
Added a second compressed air connection point in the shop to faciliate easier access with a short coiled hose when working at my main work bench. The retractable works great for working on the movable tables. I spent a couple of hours practicing my riveting. The new Tungsten bars are amazing. They make life significantly easier. I totally recommend them. I purchased 2 of them. both are about 2lb one is longer and thinner the other short and wider. I have also purchased a back riveting bucking bar from Cleaveland: http://www.cleavelandtool.com/prodinfo.asp?number=BB46#.UHTj_RXCaSo . Given that I am planning a slow build kit, I wanted to be able to back rivet as many sections of the wing as possible when in the wing stands. This bar makes it a lot easier as you can use a long back riveting set: http://www.averytools.com/prodinfo.asp?number=4560 from the inside and have the large surface bar on the manufactured head. My practice using this setp has given very good results so far. |
