Today I spent time finishing off attaching the hinges to the vertical stabilizer and rudder as well as welding one half of a hinge to the rear of the fuselage. I had to drill out the rivets at the bottom of the rudder to slide the rudder horn on which will be riveted in place when I set the height of it correctly. Standing back and looking at the tail feathers, I am so happy with the rounded "Cub" inspired shape. I don't get to work on it over the weekends so a Friday afternoon photo opportunity with the wheels slipped on for the first time is reward enough for another week's work completed and has me looking forward to the one upcoming.
