Preparing for a start |

The engine had been in its box and stored in a spare room for almost 2 years after it's first start and running in. I found it easier to bolt the mount to the engine first and then the engine/mount to the fuselage. Mag and carbs and bolt straight on then run the cables and wires and lines to the instrument panel gauges. With the nose elevated quite high, I did a fuel flow test (95 RON) from the wing tanks down through a filter and then the gascolator to a bottle that was at the same level as the carbs. I can't remember now what that flow rate was however it was more than sufficient to keep this 45HP running strong. Prop bolted on and torque to 14 ft/lb |
