Building the base |

T-88 epoxy is used to bond new structural timbers between the front and rear spars, also joining the diagonal brace. A plywood floor is epoxied on top making a firm base for the fuel tank to sit on. I have epoxied round plywood joint supports on the underside intersections and have placed 1/8" thick tabs where I think they should positioned as mounts for the wing gap cover as well as for potential wing tip options in the future. The Team Minimax tanks are 6 gallons each and fit perfectly to the contour of the wing. A total of 12 gallons is going to give me plenty of range when I need it. |
