Extended wiring from elevator trim servo |
|
|
While waiting for a chance to have someone (Steve) get on the other side of the wing to rivet the top skins, I thought this would be a good time to attach longer wire leads to the elevator trim servo, so I could tighten the screws in place and forget about it. So, I got some wire, matched the colors as closely as possible, and added about 3 feet to each servo lead. Then put heat shrink tubing over each soldered wire connection, then larger heat shring tubing over the whole thing. Came out pretty decent. Then I replaced the servo inside the left elevator and tightened all the No. 6 screws. I have been told that the No. 6 screws are treacherous, as they shear off easily because it is easy to over torque them, so tightened them very carefully. All came out OK. |
