Well, today is my 69th birthday. My plan was to have this thing flying by my 70th. I also planned to have the wings finished long ago, and the fuselage nearly done by now. Well, old mother work has interfered a great deal lately, and I have not been able to spend nearly the time on it that I had planned. Well, given the economic times, I am fortunate to have work to do, so am not complaining a bit. I promised myself in 1973 that I would never again complain about having too much work, when we had to scramble to find enough to keep the doors open. I went to Fry's Electronics and got some Molex type pins and a crimping tool and got to work fabricating the connections and leads to mount in the wing. Had to go back and get the pin extractor tools since I installed a couple of pins in the incorrect sequence right away. Connected everything up and believe it or not, the light came on when connected to a 9v battery. |
