I left the bellhousing on because it provided a stable base to stand the engine on its nose. rotate crank as needed to access the rod nuts. gently tap to seperate and pull the cylinder-piston-rod out of the case. a small head ratchet or breaker bar is needed to get in between the throws of the crank and the internal case supports.
