Weight and Balance |

|
Date 12-11-06 Sec 14 With all the major parts and the graphics on the airplane I had to perform a weight and balance before the FAA airworthiness inspection. I barrowed the scales from Weaver Aircraft and an engine hoist from Dave McClellan. I was lucky to have a worktable the correct height to put under the tail wheel for the fuselage to be in level in flight attitude. After zeroing out the scales and adjusting their height and level we lower the aircraft onto the scales under the mains and place the tail wheel on its scale. #933 total empty weight. That’s a great number. On line the average weight was 1007lbs so I was able to keep the weight down and the CG came well within factory specs.
