I slid the clamps back, but it still took a lot of effort and twisting to get the hoses loose. Plus it made a little mess when the coolant spilled out. Next I taped up the engine mount. Make sure not to wrap the bars completely, because it will be a little bit of a bear to remove, once installed. I also filed down the powder coating from the mate faces.
