I did a best fit to get the cowling in a close to the right position. There is still some overhang on all the edges, so the bottom section doesn’t fit up even with the skin yet, but I want to see how much I need to trim off to get it to fit up close to the spinner. I think if I had just trimmed to the scribe lines then the contour up to the spinner would lean a little to the left (fwd looking aft). This way I was able to center top cowling around the spinner. Next, I will mark the edges that need to be trimmed and try to sneak up on the right amount of material to remove.
