Over the next 4 logs I will try to explain what worked out well for me on making the strut attach angle pieces. I had read where some had had a difficult time to get the holes to line up, but this worked out really well for me and the holes are perfect, so I'll show you how. Step 1: Cut the flange to the right length 1-5/8". A band saw would work best here, but since i don't have one I used my dremmel cut-off saw to get real close, then filed it down to size. The aluminum gets quite hot using a cut-off wheel. Then I marked up the holes locations as directed on both sides. The key hole is the center one, so just make sure that is in the right place. |
