Roll Bar prep (24-02) |

I didn't get too much done this week due to some travels for my paying job. I had to drive to Lafayette, IN to visit the assembly plant, but I was thinking...if I could fly, I could get there in less than 1/2 the time....hmmm Spent a little time just deburring all the edges for the straps and roll bar pieces. Not difficult, but I needed to wait for my order of 75 additional silver clecos from Cleveland Tools to get in. The original tool kit only came with about 50 and I figure I would need 100 to complete the assembly. I failed to read ahead, but I should have also ordered a 4-40 tap for the canopy latch. My guess is that is new because of the electronic switch to be added later. Once all the edges were deburred, I assembled and started final sizing the holes. This was much easier to drill through than the longerons. |
