Brief Description:    First flight no-go.
I was going to try a first flight today, but it was not to be.

Taxi testing went well. I got to the fuel pump and put in 10 gallons. I then tied down the plane and did a full throttle run-up. I only get 2,600+ RPM. I should be seeing more like 3.000 RPM.

So I re-set the pitch of the prop to be flatter (it's a ground-adjustable prop). Now I got just a hair under 3,000 RPM on a run up. Good.

But I still have a sticky throttle. In fact, it was so sticky I had to use 2 hands at times to move it forward! It was an 85 deg day, and the CHT's were getting to 400 on 2 cylinders. And to add to all that, my radio was intermitent.

So with all that happening, I decided not to fly. Our airport is closing for 2 weeks for runway work, so I'll use the time to work on the throttle, cowl, paint, comm, etc.
