Brief Description:    Aileron controls and trimming (pg 1)
Now that the wings are finally attached, I can connect and trim all the controls. First up was the ailerons.

With the left aileron set at the correct angle per the plans, I made adjustments to the pushrod rod-end bearings by screwing them in or out. I used a vertical level to try to keep the control sticks vertical.

Then I moved to the right aileron, which proved to be much more problematic. With the control sticks vertical, the right aileron was way low. I adjusted the rod-end bearings of the pushrod going from the cockpit control horn to the wing's bellcrank. But I ran out of adjustment room.

So I had to take off the inspection cover under the right wing and remove the castle nut holding the shorter pushrod that goes from the bellcrank to the aileron. Then I rotated the pushrod, which rotates in and out of the rod-end bearing. After a few trials and errors I got the right adjustment, reinstalled the hardware, castle nut and cotter pin.
