Brief Description:    Right Wing - more main ribs
Installed (located and cleco'd) rib #2, then made and installed ribs #3, #4 and #5.

Then I want back and modified the RIGHT #1 rib (only; not the left) with a mod that cuts 1/4" off the tail of the rib, and replaces it with an angle (photo #2) that takes the place of the flange that got cut off.

It's even harder to align the first main ribs than the nose ribs. Although I draw the 1/4" guideline on the forward flange of the rib (bottom of photo 1) that will show through the web holes (ie - align the red guideline by sighting through the holes in the web). But It's difficult to get the first couple of ribs aligned by hand. So in photo 1 you can see I drew a red line 1/4" off of the web holes. This corresponds with the 1/4" offset from the face of the rib holes. That way I get the rib roughly aligned with the web holes, even though they are obscured by the rib flange.

I align, clamp, and then tip up the spar to I can look through the holes in the web to find the red guideline on the forward flange of the rib.

Clear as mud?!
