Final a/c weight |
|
|
Although I don't have the fuselage and wheel paint paint, nor my interior upholstery, it was time to weight the aircraft for final weight and balance. My EAA 106 chapter has a beautiful set of ramps and scales (NASCAR scales) that I used to weigh the aircraft. The tailwheel has to be elevated so the fuselage is in level flight attidude. A few 2x4s and a roll of tape (!) did the trick. We put a bubble level on the cockpit side rail. The 2x4s were zero'd out of the scales before rolling the a/c onto the scales. Final numbers: Total = 653 lbs Left main = 304 Right main = 312 Tail wheel = 37 |
