Weighed the aircraft |
|
|
We weighed the plane (with oil). I will have to do this again later, but I wanted to get a baseline for the POH calculations. I was also just damn curious! - Total weight = 652 lbs My grassy back yard was the only level place I had (my driveway and street are on hills). I weighed myself on pavement and on grass (scales on the ramp bases in the photos) and the weights were the same, so I don't think the grass had a detrimental affect. The scales are owned by my EAA 106 Chapter. They are used for weighing race cars and are very sturdy, heavy and accurate. They weighed all 3 wheels at the same and also gave a total weight. Very cool! The varnished ramps were masterpieces in themselves. Someone really did a nice job of making those. |
