I keep running into the problem that I can't do "this" until I do "that." Case in point. I want to install the glare shield fabric, but I can't do that until I rivet in the instrument panel. I can't rivet the instrument panel until I paint it. I can't paint it until I make the instrument cutouts. I can't make the instrument cutouts until I know for sure all of the instruments, switches, etc. But since I'm nearly a year away (I figure) from buying and installing instruments, I can't do that. See what I mean? Lots more of those conundrums, too. So tonight I... - Added clear coat to the wing tip. The clear coat will make the paint wrinkle unless you put the clear coat on VERY thin (a mist) and do each coat a couple of days apart (ask me how I know!). Photo #1. - Pulled the painter's tape off the right aileron, and then installed the counterweight (photo #2). Next will be balancing. - Now that the gas tank is installed, I riveted in the lower cross beam for the instrument panel. I also rough-cut the glare shiels fabric (photo #3). more stuff on the next page... |
