Oil Cooler |
|
|
Since I was having trouble with the alternator I moved onto the oil cooler preparations. In photo 1 you can see that unlike the photo in the AeroVee instructions, the forward flange of the oil cooler overlaps the oil temperature sender hole in the lower baffle. If the hole is in the right place, then I will need to cut a semi-circle of material out of the oil cooler installation flange. You can see the black marker of semi-circle that I drew to show where it would be cut. In photo 2 I bent the two sides of the lower baffle with my small brake. Now I need to make (2) 12" long braided hoses with AN fittings. A few wraps of duct tape around the hose, and good use of a hacksaw, and you get a clean cut (photo 3). I then got 2 of 4 fittings installed. |
