A day I was both looking forward to, and dreading! Wing rigging! As you look at this 6 hour process, Keith pointed out one thing to remember... ALL OF THIS IS JUST TO DRILL 6 HOLES!!! Keith Macht, who had already rigged his wings, and Dave Plate, a flying buddy of mine, came over to help. My basement is a walk-out into the garage. On this page: - Move fuselage out of basement, through 6' wide door (required angling horizontal tail to get through the door). - Then rotated fuselage in the garage to allow room for both wings to be installed, placing the fuselage back on saw horses. - Inserted both wings into the fuselage, being careful to support each wing with a saw horse so the fuselage would not tip over! |
