Turtle deck disassembly & deburing |
|
|
- Got an angle drill attachment for my Dremel tool today, so drilled the final 8 holes in the two clips at each end of the turtle deck splice channel. Getting inside the back of the tailcone to get those last 4 holes was THE most difficult spot I've ever had to get to while building this Sonex! - Deburred the outside face of the turtle deck skin and the upper row of holes in the side skins, while in place. - Then removed all the clecos and removed the turtle deck back to my work bench. - Did the same for the formers and all the other little pieces that make up the tailcone. - Began deburring. I would estimate I got 70% of it done tonight. 1,292 hrs. Coming up on the next round number... |
