Turtle deck formers |
|
|
- Before I put the turtle deck skin in place I marked a 1" line down both turtle deck sides, that shows how much of the skin is inserted behind the side skins (per plans). - Had my wife, Gail, help put the turtle deck skin between the side skins and the longerons. Definitely a 2-person job. Starting to look like a fuselage! - Finished bending the curved flanges of the turtle deck formers Although I have a polished aircraft, I think I'll paint the #1 formers (the ones behind the occupants' heads). In the photo you can see the ink on the metal. The paint will cover that, and I think it will look good. 1,280 hours up to now... |
