Installed the wing tip (actually it's called the "tip rib", but it's not really much of a rib). - Held the tip in place with blue painter's tape. - Pilot drilled all the holes. - Updrilled all the holes to final size (according to the Sonex instructions, no need to countersink the rivets on the leading edge skin. - Located and taped on the wingtip light pod (they are GuagePods, made for the Sonex). http://www.gaugepods.com/aircraft.html - Put the tip ribs side by side and located the RIGHT wing tip pod to match the left wing (photo #3). - Drilled a hole in the wing tip for the wires for the lights. - Turned the wing over and deburred all the wingtip holes. - Then began planning the layout of the wing walk. |
