From VW Air-cooled rebuild guide: -Checked listed areas for "common crack" locations, case still good. -Determined proper measurements for oil pump and confirmed I can reuse the one I purchased with the engine. -Dial caliper to check large end of rods, not ovaled significantly, still in spec.
