Finished installing the last of the cotter pins on the undercarriage and sanded the H/T, elevator and rudder in preparation for additional, white primer. Also, I changed the way I'm going to hang the empennage parts for painting. Previously I hung them from single lines per mounting point. It turns out that the paint gun volume pushes them around to the point that maintaining a constant distance, gun to part, was virtually impossible. The new approach is to use a second line per mounting point - forming a "V" from the ceiling - with the hope that the part will now be allowed to swing around its mounting point but not free to swing from the mounting point in the ceiling. We'll see!! |
