Tonight I finished riveting the fuel cap retaining ring in place. I used -4.5, -5, -5.5, and -6 rivet lengths to accomodate the varying thickness of the machined flange. There are no -5.5 rivets in the kit, so I just cut down some -6's. I got sort of lucky in that I forgot the vent line clip until I only had one more rivet to go; luckily it was the correct one. I'l rather be lucky than good any day... I had a small amout of sealant left from the fuel cap ring, so I cut down an AN470-6-7 rivet to a -5 length and filled the aft tooling hole in the T-403 outboard end rib. After scuffing, cleaning, and applying sealant around both sides of the hole, I used my 3X rivet gun at 90 psi with my tungsten bucking bar, and it set just fine. I finished it off by encapsulating both the factory and shop heads with sealant. The forward tooling hole in both end ribs get covered by the T-405 attach angle and/or T-410 reinforcing plate, and the aft tooling hole in the inboard end rib is covered by the access cover stiffening ring.
