Left Fuel Tank and Leading Edge |
|
|
Countersunk both fuel cap fittings. Clecoed the baffle to the left fuel tank skin and countersunk the skin to baffle rivet lines. At one time I had entertained the idea of building outboard tanks in place of the leading edge, as I was doing with the Harmon Rocket. Since I would have to be solo to utilize extra fuel anyway, I've decided that it will likely be easier to and less expensive to buy or build a seat tank for any of the few extended range flights I'll be makng. So, I've decided to stay stock. To that end I went ahead with the fabrication of the leading edge by re-attaching the left leading edge to the spar and final reaming all skin to rib and skin to spar rivet holes. |
