Rudder trailing edge and spar assembly. |

Since I don't trust the tank sealnt to hold things together, I decided to skip ahead to 7-11 and partially set the trailing edge rivets before doing anything else. After some experimentation, I decided to use the hand squeezer, since I have much more control with that. It seemed to go well, the "shop heads" were set down to about 1mm above, the skin. This gave a bit of grip so the rivets didn't move - enough for me to proced with the rest of the assembly in proper sequence. That, and the trailing edge is nice a straight- now I just ha ve to keep it that way when i finish off those rivets. Riveting the spar into place went smoothly. |
