Not actually part of the build, but needed anyway - I started construction of a box to enclose my compressor. The exterior is 5/8" MDF and it will be lined with 1" thick accoustic insulation I found at Home Depot. I'll build a labyrinth air flow path into the top and bottom of the box to allow airflow but (hopefully) kill most of the sound. We'll see if it works.
