Static line and fuel supply line |
|
|
I started the morning by finishing up the static line connection in the aft fuselage. I figured that the connections we use on our Cessna products should be good enough for an experimental aircraft, so I had ordered a T-connector from Aircraft Spruce to make the whole assembly a little more robust. The only challenge was that I had already RTV'd the flex line to the static openings, so I simply inserted them into the 1/4" tubing and added a little RTV to ensure that they stayed put. Then I used a couple of zip ties to affix the connector to the bulkhead. Once the static line was done, I moved forward and pulled the lefthand fuel supply line out. I had decided during a previous session that this line was probably going to have to be replaced when I got my Andair fuel selector, and now with the wings on, there wasn't an easy way to get a flare on the fitting anyway, so out it came. On to the tank attach brackets and vent lines. |
