I applied fabric taping to the gear legs per the Poly-Fiber manual except I went with wider tapes than required (in addition to using heavy fabric) in order to reduce drumming. I'd heard of using polyester fiber inside the fabric to reduce drumming, which I didn't like for water retention/corrosion reasons, as well as doing some false rib lacing, which I couldn't find out much about.
