Rib lace tape was applied to all control surfaces. I stopped the tape at breaks in the gussets or where the fabric meets the aluminum forward, and stopped it just short of the trailing edge. One area I deviated from the Poly-Fiber mantra is that I put anti-chafe tape on the ribs. Some of the Avipro ribs are a bit wider than the 1/2 inch specified in the plans and used for the tape, and the anti-chafe tape might avoid the ribs cutting the rib stitches.
