I fabricated a panel and tab which would close the slot which is needed to open the front door, and which would ordinarily pass air in flight. I welded a small tab onto the handle, which parallels the panel. A small amount of space is needed between the tab and the panel to allow for fabric and some Teflon tape to reduce wear; accordingly I used some copper plate to dissipate the heat when welding the tab onto the door handle.
