All of the steps in this section passed with some specific notes as follows: With stabilator at full trailing edge up and trim at full "NOSE UP", distance between center of AST and center of trailing edge of stabilator is 5/8" (spec is 9/16"). With stabilator at full trailing edge up and trim at full "NOSE UP", distance between bottom of rudder and AST push rod is 5/8" (spec is at least 1/4"). With stabilator at full trailing edge down and trim at full "NOSE DN", distance between center of AST and center of trailing edge of stabilator is 3/8" (spec is 3/8"). With stabilator at full trailing edge up and trim at full "NOSE DN", distance between bottom of rudder and AST push rod is 5/8" (spec is at least 1/4"). With trim at full "NOSE DN", stabilator trailing edge up, and rudder full left, horizontal distance between bottom rudder trailing edge and center of AST pushrod is 7-1/8" (spec is 7-1/8"). Diagonal distance is 8" (spec is 7-5/16") With trim at full "NOSE DN", stabilator trailing edge up, and rudder full right, horizontal distance between bottom rudder trailing edge and center of AST pushrod is 6-3/4" (spec is 7-1/8"). Diagonal distance is 7-1/4" (spec is 7-5/16") With left flaperon held faired, right flaperon trailing edge is 1/4" below trail position (spec is 1/4"). With approximate 10 pound up force on right flaperon, flaperon flexes 1/2" from trail position (spec is 1/2") With stick moved full right, less than 1/8 clearance from fuselage skin (spec is 1/8"). Need to trim inboard edge of right flaperon skin to get 1/8" clearance from fuselage skin. Also noticed that LP4-3 rivet on leading edge of flaperon skin rubs against LP4-3 rivet at actuating bracket. May need to use a CS4 rivet at actuating bracket. Left side is OK.
