Although not a step, had to comply with the note at the top of the page because original wiring installation had the BNC connector for the SL-40 radio. The note said that the updated connector was available from Van's but they said I had to go direct to Stein Air so ordered a standard RG-58, three-piece coax connector and crimpers. Cut off SL-40 BNC, stripped the cable per Amphenol specification for the connector, crimped center pin, crimped ferrule, and shrunk heat shrink around ferrule.
