Brief Description:    Back on the Gear! (SB 12-11-09)
Step 47
With Michael's help, torqued outboard main gear attach bracket bolts. Used a crowfoot to access nuts. Torqued nuts for the AN5 bolts to 140 inch-pounds but had to modify torque wrench reading to 130 inch-pounds due to 3/4" extension of crowfoot. The calculation is shown below for the record. Reseated bolts and torqued again. Installed HW-00003 plugs.

Torque Wrench Adjustment:
New wrench value = (T x L)/(L + E)
T = 140 inch-pounds (desired torque)
L = 8 inches (length of torque wrench)
E = 0.75 inch (crow foot extension)

New wrench value = (140 x 8)/(8 + 0.75) = 1,120/8.75 = 128 inch-pounds (rounded up to 130)

Step 48
Removed supports from under fuselage.

Step 49
Reinstalled outboard cushion clamps to center section.
