Brief Description:	Rivets Installed Wrong Direction
No work today other than to ping Van's on direction of rivets on one of the ribs. The first note at the bottom of page 15-05 says that the LP4-3 rivets should be installed with the manufactured head on the rib (not on the attach angle). The W-1208-L rib on the left wing (second inboard rib) was installed with the manufactured head of the rivet on the attach angle. I can't imagine that it would be an issue for just this one rib but defer to the design authority. Response from Van's: "It's not a structural issue -- it's just a matter of convenience and fit. If you got the rivets in and all the parts fit, then there's no need to re-do it." That's all I need to hear! Pressing on!
