PAP - G6 - Check For Debris |
|
|
Removed gascolator drain and strained fuel through a coffee filter. Minor swarf was noticed and looked like very fine flakes of aluminum. Probably stuff left in the fuel lines/tank during construction. Very happy with the minimal amount found. Drained the remaining fuel from fuel tank (about 2 gallons) and also strained through a coffee filter. A few small dirt-looking particles were captured. Looked more like small pieces of fuel tank sealant. Probably some left in tank from scraping during fuel tank doubler mod. The gasolcator screen had a very thin layer that easily wiped off with a rag. It looked more like fuel being retained in the screen - no obvious other debris. Re-installed screen and gascolator and safety-wired. Removed both carb bowls and strained fuel through a coffee filter. Very minor black material caught. Again, probably small pieces of fuel tank sealant. SECTION G6 IS COMPLETE |
