Canopy cutting and fixing |
|
|
Moved the canopy out early again to get it hot. Final trimmed the edges to fit, then took it off. A bit flexible in the heat! Drilled the 1/4" holes with a supporting block of wood, and at a comfortable, stable work position this time, and it all went well. Edges masked off, sanded, holes deburred, and the outer side of the 1/4 holes countersunk as per directions. Mixed the adhesive £450 for the glue!!)and applied to the canopy, dropped the frame on, them clecoed together. It was so warm that the adhesive was solid after 4 hours. Tidied the garage whilst waiting for it to set, then sanded the rough bits down in prep for more filling and sanding, then fibreglassing. Such a relief to have it cut and bonded in place without cracking again... |
