Rudder Cable Fairings |
|
|
Installed two little aluminum fairing kits I bought. The stock kit just has a vinyl tube sticking out of the fuselage (as in Pic1). The fairings just spruce it up a bit. I trimmed the rectangular flange on the fairings to make them oval in the front--thought it looked better that way. Pic3 is way over-exposed--the primer is actually dark gray. But, whatever color, it'll prevent corrosion until I get the plane painted. Anyway, that is what the fairing looks like installed. I also installed the outside air temperature (OAT) probe today. It's visible in the upper righjt corner of Pic3. The probe is a Dynon sensor that connects to the remote compass pack behind the baggage compartment bulkhead. I ran the line but didn't connect it yet. |
