Couldn't stand it--I had to clamp it on to see what it looked like! Very nice--looks like progress. Ok, well learned alot about mounting while I played around. The plans called for trimming off 5/8" from the forward spar, Gulp. I trimmed the spar flange, but I left the webbing intact so I could adjust if needed. In Pics 2 & 3, I show what I mean. Behind the gray primed area is the mounting bracket. I'll eventually back-drill and rivet this all together, but not until the rear spar of the Vert Stab (VS) is plumb. That is why I was concerned about trimming too much to start. Trim it off and then have to lift it up to get things plumb only to find that I blew my edge distance on the bottom row of rivets--no thanks. More in next log entry...
