Brief Description:    Top Longeron Doubler/Cockpit
I took my time this morning and finished up the top longeron doubler for the pilot's side. I really wanted a nice, smooth arc for these since they'll be seen every time someone gets into the plane, so I sanded, smoothed, and filed until I was happy with it. After that, I couldn't resist just sitting the center console parts in place to get the final picture - very cool. That's an airplane cockpit! For the next couple of days, I'll be finishing up little bits of unfinished business like fairleads, cable outlet fairings, bottom engine mounts, arm rest cover - goodies like that. I'll also be practicing my welding to see if I can trust myself to make some flap activator parts. I'm getting to the point of needing that stuff - and the control stick! My plan is to get to a good stopping place, then disassemble, corrosion protect, and rivet this far before moving on.
