Drilling, Sanding, Fitting Slider Canopy |
|
|
I clamped the plexiglass canopy to the slider frame for drilling. I layed a layer of masking tape on the slider frame and marked 2" o.c. lines for drilling. I drilled on these lines where the canopy contacted the frame. I used a standard #40 bit to drill through the plexi and into the frame. After complete i removed the canopy and countersunk all holes on the outside for rivets and fasteners. I drilled the plexi holes to final size of 5/32" with a plexi bit, without issue, and deburrend the inside canopy holes. The frame holes were drilled to final size of #30 and deburred. I cleaned up the canopy, re-masked everything and cleco'd the final priduct back to the frame. |
